Shane Mosely
"Sugar" Shane Mosley is a globally respected boxing icon, Hall of Famer, and now serves as President of 2nd Chance Boxing Promotions. With a career defined by courage, speed, and legacy, Mosley brings unmatched championship experience and visionary leadership to the organization, helping shape the next generation of fighters through purpose-driven promotion.
A three-division world champion, Mosley earned titles in the lightweight, welterweight, and light middleweight divisions, compiling a professional record of 49 wins (41 by knockout), 10 losses, and 1 draw. He was ranked the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world by The Ring magazine in 2000, at the peak of his dominance.
Known for fighting the best, Mosley’s opponents read like a Hall of Fame roster:
- Oscar De La Hoya – defeated twice, including a historic 2000 upset for the WBC welterweight title
- Floyd Mayweather Jr. – challenged the undefeated champion in a global super fight
- Manny Pacquiao – went the distance with the 8-division world champion
- Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Vernon Forrest, Ricardo Mayorga, Fernando Vargas – among many others
Mosley was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in recognition of his incredible career, and remains one of the most beloved and respected figures in the sport.
